One person is seriously injured after a logging truck crashed on State Highway 2, north of Gisborne.

A second person suffered minor injuries.
The agency said the crash happened at Waipaoa, north of Gisborne, closing State Highway 2 between Gisborne and Opotiki.
Logs were strewn across the road when the truck rolled shortly after 2.30pm.
The agency said there were no available detours between Gisborne and Opotiki and it recommended motorists avoid the area or delay any travel.
The road is expected to reopen later tonight after the truck is removed.
