Courier and information management company Freightways says its first-quarter result reflects the success of its growth strategy and resilience to softer economic conditions in Australia and New Zealand.
The company's first quarter net profit of nearly $13.5 million was little changed from a year ago, but total revenue was up nearly four percent.
Freightways managing director Dean Bracewell told the company's annual meeting that Freightways rate of growth won't be as strong as last year's.
But Mr Bracewell said the company has strong cash flows and will continue to look for opportunites for acquisitions and expansion.
