Fiji regime appoints military officers to two more public service top jobs

The Fiji regime has appointed military officers to two more key posts in the country's public service.

The acting permanent secretary of the Ministry of Works, Transport and Public Utilities, is the navy commander Francis Kean.

And the new acting chief of protocol at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is Lieutenant Tiale Vuiyyasawa.

Francis Kean is the brother-in-law of Commodore Frank Bainimarama.

He was jailed for 18 months for manslaughter in 2007 but released after six months.
