This week we've been playing a series looking back at the lives of NZ WWI veterans who were on the front line at Le Quesnoy. The series comes as its been announced there are plans for a living memorial to be built in the northern French town, to mark the efforts of the NZ soldiers stationed there to save the town. You can find out more about the project here. The series was produced by Jude Dobson. Today's episode is about a message she delivered grave side in France from the parents of a 20 year old fallen solider.
