Earlier, the United Nations secretary general urged the people of Fiji to remain calm following the Court of Appeal ruling.
The UN also called for respect for human rights, the rule of law and the judicial process.
In other developments, the Commonwealth Secretary General is also expressing hope that the leaders of Fiji demonstrate the utmost respect for the constitution.
