Climate protesters who caused traffic delays in Wellington this morning have been arrested and charged.
Police say the protesters, who were blocking the Terrace off-ramp on State Highway 1, were taken into custody just before 8.30am on Thursday.
Four women from the Restore Passenger Rail group, aged 19, 67, 73 and 74, were arrested.
They are due to appear in Wellington District Court on Thursday afternoon on charges of endangering transport and breaching bail conditions.
The group has carried out several road protests recently, bringing traffic to a halt on Vivian Street, a main thoroughfare through the capital, and at the Terrace Tunnel.
