Police have opened a homicide investigation after a man died at a house in Huntington last night.
Emergency services were called to an incident at a house on Borman Road shortly after 7pm, Detective Senior Sergeant Andrew Saunders said.
When emergency services arrived they found a man with serious injuries.
The man has been identified as Perenara Tama McAllister, 30.
He died at the scene despite recieving immediate medical attention, Saunders said.
Another man at the house was arrested and police are considering charges.
Police were not looking for anyone else in connection to the death.
A forensic examination would be carried out today and there would be an increased police presence.
A post mortem was expected to be carried out on Monday.
