One person is dead following a crash between a car and a tractor near Timaru this morning.
A police spokesperson said it happened just after 8am on State Highway 8 near Pleasant Point.
The tractor driver died at the scene.
The driver of the car was taken to hospital and their injuries were not believed to be life-threatening.
Police are appealing for witnesses who saw the tractor this morning, before the crash.
