Police in Fiji have questioned a student involved in the filmed beating of a child at a boarding school.

The video, which was posted to social media on Tuesday, shows a boy being beaten in a classroom at the all-boys Ratu Kadavulevu boarding school.
Police have launched an investigation, with a police spokesperson telling the Fiji Times one student has already been questioned.
It is understood the assault happened last year, which has raised questions about what the school, the education ministry and authorities already knew about it.
Opposition leader Sitiveni Rabuka has called for a review of procedures within the education ministry, saying any acts of violence should not be swept under the carpet.
