American Samoa's US Congresswoman Aumua Amata Coleman Radewagen has resoundingly won a second term.
She secured 75.4 percent of the votes cast topping the poll in all 17 voting districts.
The Republican congresswoman said with the GOP maintaining control fo the House American Samoa is assured leadership roles in influential House committees.
She told American Samoa radio station KHJ she owes her victory to divine intervention.
"God did all of this not I and we are very grateful to have the opportunity to serve again for another two years and to finish up some of the projects that we have started that are important for our people. It is amazing that, up and down the line, what can I say, American Samoa is once again part of House leadership and that is very critically important for us," she said.
