The Education Ministry says 85 schools will move down a decile after challenging changes to their decile number.
The schools had challenged the changes when they lost government funding after ratings were recalculated last year.
They were among a total of 160 that sought a review of their new numbers, following a recalculation of deciles last year.
The ministry said the remaining 75 schools would have no change to their new decile. It said the schools would be advised of the outcome over the next ten days.
