A 55-year-old woman has been charged with murder after a man's body was found at a Christchurch home this morning.

Police say they were alerted to the location of the body at a property on Main North Road just before 10am this morning.
A homicide investigation was launched after the body was found.
The woman is due to appear in the Christchurch District Court tomorrow.
Police want to hear from anyone who has had contact with, or visited, the residents of 139A Main North Road since Christmas Day.
Officers believe it was an isolated incident, and said there were no concerns for the safety of the wider community.
