Health profesionals call for NZ to urgently send teams to Covid hit Fiji

The Pasifika Medical Association is calling for more medical staff to immediately join those on the ground in Fiji.

Fiji recorded over 1000 new cases yesterday, and a record 21 daily deaths from the virus.

Association chief executive Debbie Sorenson told Māni Dunlop there is an urgent need for New Zealand to send medical staff to ease pressures on Fiji's doctors and nurses, who are exhausted and overworked.
