Sport: PNG Barramundis seal series win

The Papua New Guinea cricketers have wrapped up their one-day series against Hong Kong with a game to spare, winning the second match in Port Moresby by 139 runs.

Tony Ura top-scored with 70 runs from 59 balls at Amini Park on Wednesday, while Charles Amini Junior (62) and Norman Vanua (61 not out from 37 balls) also passed 50, as the Barramundis posted an impressive 319 for 8 from their 50 overs, after being sent into bat.

In reply, Hong Kong were dismissed for 180 in the 46th over, with Damien Ravu the pick of the bowlers with 3 for 35 from eight overs.

PNG also won the Twenty20 tri-series at the weekend and can make it seven straight wins against Hong Kong in all formats if they win the third and final one-dayer on Friday.

The series wraps up with the third and final match tomorrow at Amini Park.
