Another arrest has been made after a spate of shootings Ōtara a fortnight ago.
The arrest was made yesterday after three firearms, ammunition and a quantity of explosives were found during a search at a Manurewa address.
A 24-year-old man has been charged with shooting a gun with reckless disregard for others, unlawful possession of prohibited weapons, ammunition and explosives.
He will appear in the Manukau District Court today.
On 20 and 21 November, there were six gang-related incidents in Ōtara, with gunshots involved in five of them.
Last week, an 18-year-old man was arrested in Flat Bush and charged with unlawful possession of ammunition.
Detective Inspector Chris Barry said further arrests were anticipated as police continue to have a presence in Ōtara.
