A writer for the website Web Urbanist was in New Zealand recently and wrote-up this collection of the seven abandoned wonders of New Zealand, called The Crumbling Shire.
Chilling photos show the skeletons of buildings and other infrastructure that's been left to decay after once booming industries closed down in major cities and remote towns.
Here, you can see the remnants of things like the Old Waipukurau hospital, the former hub of Tokomaru Bay and the long forgotten White Island Mines.
