South Aucklanders turned up in their hundreds yesterday for the country's first drive-through marae-based vaccination centre.
Papakura marae hosted the centre to help local whanau get their COVID vaccinations safely under alert level 4.
Papakura Marae chief executive officer Tony Kake said they vaccinated close to the targeted 300 people, and want to increase this number to around 500 once fully up and running.
