Two men charged with murder after a man was shot dead in South Auckland will stand trial next year.
A homicide investigation was launched after 31-year-old Alec Moala was killed in Ōtāhuhu in late May 2021.
Sosaia Vaitohi and Metthuselak Talakai made a brief appearance in the High Court at Auckland this morning, where not guilty pleas were entered by their lawyer Emma Priest.
Priest did not seek continued name suppression for her clients.
The men were remanded in custody and they will go to trial in September 2022.
