The man accused of murdering Dunedin man Gurjit Singh has pleaded not guilty.
The 27-year-old's body was found at his home late last month.
His death was initially treated as unexplained, but it became a homicide investigation after forensic evidence indicated he died from multiple stab wounds by a sharp weapon.
The 33-year-old technician appeared in Dunedin High Court via audio-visual link on Tuesday morning, facing one charge of murder.
He has been remanded in custody until 30 April with interim name suppression.
The maximum penalty is life in prison.
