Three men facing charges of sedition in Fiji are back in custody after having their bail revoked.
The men who are charged with sedition and inciting communal antagonism were granted bail by the Lautoka Magistrates Court on Monday but the Director of Public Prosecutions applied to have that reviewed.
An affidavit by the police said the men were a threat to national security and to public safety.
Another group of sixteen men has been remanded in custody after being charged with sedition and urging political violence.
They appeared at the Rakiraki Magistrates Court today and will appear again on August the 26th.
The State asked for them to be remanded in custody due to the seriousness of the charges and the ongoing police investigations.
On Wednesday two men were remanded in custody after appearing at Rakiraki Magistrates Court on sedition charges.
