Fiji's opposition SODELPA party is calling for an emergency meeting of parliament to reset the country's budget so funds can be directed to the cyclone recovery effort
The opposition leader, Ro Teimumu Kepa, says every family in Fiji has been affected by Cyclone Winston.
She says if parliament was recalled it could formalise adequate funding and a re-alignment of already approved expenditure to divert money to support the recovery.
The MPs in SODELPA have agreed to give ten percent of their salaries towards the country's rehabilitation.
