Firefighters have brought a large Wairarapa scrub fire under control.
At the height of the callout there were seven fire trucks, speciality vehicles and a helicopter fighting the fire north of Masterton.
The fire service says the blaze is now surrounded but firefighters will stay on site to dampen down hotspots.
