Lucy Li, the youngest qualifier in the history of the US Women's Open golf tournament at age 10, fired an eight-over-par 78 in a historic first round at Pinehurst.
Now 11, Li proudly held an ice cream cone as she answered questions about her round from reporters.
She says getting to play the US Open is a lot of fun, though she struggled but is happy with how she played.
Li says she didn't have a score in mind when she teed off, and was more concerned about performance than results.
