Watch: Sir John Key opposes capital gains tax in wide ranging discussion

Former Prime Minister Sir John Key has come out against recommendations to impose a capital gains tax, concerned it will have a crippling effect on business and farmers.

He told anything that restricts or impedes New Zealand's competitive edge is bad for business.

He and RNZ business reporter Nona Pelletier had a wide ranging discussion, talking about, among other topics: the big four Australian banks, promoting New Zealand Inc, the Allbirds footwear company, our free trade agreements and Huawei.
