Salmonella Dub have earned a great live reputation and enjoy multi-platinum sales - despite staying staunchly independent and South Island-based. Their album, One Drop East, came out in 2003 - since then they've played over 300 shows in 10 countries. Salmonella Dub's sixth album is called Heal Me. The last time we interviewed the band, sound guy-turned singer Tiki Taane and multi-instrumentalist Conan Wilcox fronted up. Both have recently left, leaving core originals Andrew Penman, David Deakins and Mark Tyler - who've been rejoined by founding member Pete Wood. Richard Wain spoke with guitarist Penman and singer-drummer Deakins.
