The man accused of killing a woman and her three-year-old child, whose bodies were discovered in Auckland last month, can now be named.
Kamal Gyanendra Reddy, 41, has pleaded not guilty in the Auckland District Court to the murders of Pakeeza Faizal and her daughter Jojo, who went missing about seven years ago.
Their remains were found beneath the Takapuna Landings bridge on the North Shore last month.
Police believe they were killed in late 2006 or early 2007.
Another man has pleaded not guilty to two charges of being an accessory and helping Mr Reddy avoid arrest.
The murder trial is scheduled for September.
