Norfolk businesses seek meeting with minister

The Norfolk Island Chamber of Commerce wants an explanation from the Australian Government about planned changes in the provision of public services.

Currently New South Wales provides health and education services to the island, but the Chamber has reports that that could be replaced by other state or territorial governments.

The Canberra appointed administrator on the island, Eric Hutchinson, has told the Chamber that it shouldn't get involved in such matters and instead focus on its core business.

But the Chamber president, Cherri Buffet, told Don Wiseman her organisation will continue to speak out about issues they see as critical for the island.
