Prison lockdown lifted after bomb threat

A lockdown at Hawke's Bay Regional Prison this morning after a bomb threat was received has been lifted.

Corrections said the threat was made to the jail by phone.

Police said the call came in about 9.30am after reports that an item of concern had been found.

The prison was placed in lockdown and police were called before the all-clear was given this afternoon.
