The New Zealand motor racing driver Brendon Hartley and his co-drivers, including Mark Webber, have failed to finish the Le Mans 24 hour race in France.

Hartley's Porsche was forced to retire with technical issues in the 22nd hour, while in second position.

Audi won the race for the 13th time in a one-two finish.

Switzerland's Marcel Fassler, Frenchman Benoit Treluyer and Germany's Andre Lotterer took the victory in the number two car ahead of the number one driven by Denmark's Tom Kristensen, Spaniard Marc Gene and Brazilian Lucas Di Grassi.

Toyota took third place.

Porsche was returning to Le Mans for the first time in 16 years.
