14:52 pm on 9 February 2007

Samoa's Electoral Commissioner's office is prepared to prosecute a citizen who cast two votes in last week's by-election in the Fa'asaleleaga number two constituency'.

The unnamed individual was found to have cast a vote at Sapapalii village in Savaii Island, and later in Apia at the polling booth in the To'oa Salamasina hall.

Meanwhile, the court is still to hear charges against several other dual voters who were found after the general election in March last year.
