A 45-year old man has been charged the aggravated robbery of a bar in Strathmore Park.
Two men walked into the Strathmore Local bar in Wellington at about 9.30pm on 6 August allegedly threatening workers with a knife and a bat and stealing cash, acting detective senior sergeant James Stewart said.
Police, including CIB and the armed offenders squad, executed a search warrant at a residential address in Strathmore Park on Friday.
A man is due to appear in Wellington District Court on 16 September, on charges of aggravated robbery.
"Police would like to thank the members of the public who provided information which has helped to advance this investigation," Stewart said.
"Wellington CIB are following strong lines of enquiry to identify and hold further offenders to account.
"Police continue to appeal for information that may assist in our investigation."
