Synthetic drug-related death toll surges - coroner

Provisional coroners' figures show between 40 and 45 people are believed to have died from using synthetic cannabis in the last year. It's a huge jump considering In the previous five years there were only two confirmed deaths. Paul Quigley is an emergency medicine specialist at Wellington Hospital.
