A pedestrian has been killed after being hit by a truck in central Auckland.
The police say the man was hit on the Newton Road overbridge at about 6.50am on Friday.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The southbound lane of the overbridge was closed to allow investigators to examine the scene and police advised motorists to avoid the area if possible.
