Police have have arrested a man in relation to a hit-and-run in Auckland at the weekend.

A car struck a pedestrian on Sandringham Road leaving them with serious injuries shortly before 4am on Sunday.
A 47-year-old man has now been charged with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.
He is due to appear in court today.
Police said a vehicle they seized will undergo forensic examination.
