Police are asking people travelling in Flaxmere on the night of Patrick Teteni Reweti's death to come forward as they may have information that could help in the murder investigation.

Reweti's body was found in a burnt-out car by emergency services on Irongate Road in Flaxmere on 26 March after the report of a vehicle fire.

A 30-year-old Hastings man has been charged with his murder and is due to reappear in the High Court at Napier on a charge of murder and wilful damage on 21 June.

Now police want to hear from anyone with information not yet reported to them and are looking for the occupants of a light coloured car driving on Stock Road, Flaxmere on 26 March between 7.30pm and 9pm, or any vehicle on Sunderland Drive, Flaxmere on the same night between 6.40pm and 7.10pm.
