Three candidates will be vying for the presidency of the Oceania Football Federation during the OFC 21st Ordinary Congress tomorrow in Pago Pago.
The Acting president of OFC David Chung of the Papua New Guinea Football Federation, Fred de Jong of the New Zealand Football, and Frank van Hattum, also of New Zealand are the three candidates competiting for the top spot.
The three men were nominated by the 11-member countries of the OFC.
The president of the Football Federation of American Samoa Iuli Alex Godinet is one of 10 names nominated for the 7 member OFC executive committee.
If he's successful, he will be the first from American Samoa to sit on the executive committee of OFC, the smallest of the world's six confederations of FIFA.
Each of the 11 full OFC member associations has one vote in the Congress and is entitled to be
represented by two delegates.
The elective Congress will take place Saturday morning with acting OFC President David Chung presiding over the meeting.
Shortly afterwards, the first OFC Executive Committee meeting for the 2011-2014 term will
take place.
