Death of Gisborne woman: Police searching for vehicle of interest

Police investigating the death of Gisborne woman Maraea Smith are appealing for sightings of a vehicle of interest.

In a statement, police said Smith died after an altercation on Titoki Street in Gisborne on Friday 25 March.

A homocide inquiry was later launched.

Police investigators are now appealing for information regarding a silver Nissan Navara that was in the areas of Titoki Street, Childers Road, Lytton Road and Elgin shopping centre on the evening that Smith died.

Anyone with information regarding the vehicle is urged to contact police on 105.
