UNFPA report reveals health disparities for Pacific women

A new report by the United Nations Population Fund UNFPA points to a failure in gender-inequality for thousands of women and girls across the Pacific.

More than six women die every hour from preventable causes related to pregnancy and childbirth in Asia-Pacific alone.

UNFPA Regional Director Pio Smith told RNZ Pacific's Eleisha Foon, the state of world population report on ending inequalities in sexual and reproductive health show some improvements but there's still plenty to work on.
