Wool prices were mixed at this week's North and South Island sales.
Wool Services International says prices for coarse wools continue to climb, fetching up to 4.5% more.
But it says that the first significant offering of mid micron fleece was 1.5% to 3.5% cheaper, and that merino wools fetched up to 7% less.
Fine crossbred fleece and shears were generally firm, but some lines eased by up to 2.5%.
Nearly 90% of the more than 8000 bales on offer sold.
Next week's auction has been cancelled due to a lack of supply.
