The champion Sebastien Loeb has roared back into contention on the second day of the Rally of New Zealand, winning the first three stages north of Auckland this morning and making up an incredible 40 seconds.
The French rally star's now sixth and he's been hitting speeds of over 200 kilometres an hour as he looks to recover from a costly crash on Friday.
Loeb's 38 and a half seconds behind namesake and compatriot Sebastien Ogier, who continues to lead in another Citroen by 12.6 seconds from Ford's Jari-Matti Latvala.
