Auckland Transport will today vote on its 10-year transport funding plan for the city.
The plan includes billions of dollars of capital funding for roading upgrades and public transport projects.
The regional land transport programme sets out Auckland Transport's priorities for the next decade.
It includes significant improvements for roading, public transport, walking and cycling.
The current cycleways project would be completed and progress would be made on the construction of a busway in eastern suburbs.
There is funding for new red-light cameras at high-risk intersections and safety improvements on rural roads.
Traffic congestion is also looked at, along with managing demand using intelligent transport systems.
However, there are a raft of other projects included in the plan that Auckland Transport hasn't set aside funding for.
The agency's board meets this afternoon.
