Vanuatu's Prime Minister Ishmael Kalsakau says 70 percent of government computer servers are now back in operation following a cyber attack.
Those now back in action include government financial services, Customs and Inland Revenue, Immigration and Passports, Police and other emergency services.
Suspicion of a cyber attack was first noted on the broadband network on November 6, but this developed until all government online services were unavailable.
The Daily Post reports Kalsakau said work is continuing to strengthen the networks.
He said the government networks would be built back better and safer.
Two possible sites of compromise have been identified - they are unsecured government websites managed by third parties and unpatched workstations on the broadband network with known security weaknesses.
Kalsakau said they are yet to identify the culprits of the cyber attack.
