The Sydney Roosters have been crowned champions of the Auckland Nines after beating the Penrith Panthers 10-8 in the final.

The Roosters held a 10-0 lead at half-time, with Daniel Tupou and Bernard Lewis scoring tries in.
Malakai Watene-Zelezniak crossed for the Panthers in the second half.
Roosters utility Connor Watson was named Player of the Tournament.
