MP sure final Bougainville referendum issues will be sorted

15:05 pm on 9 July 2018

The MP for South Bougainville in the Papua New Guinea national parliament is confident that outstanding matters will be sorted at a special Joint Supervisory Board meeting at the end of this month.

The JSB has the role of overseeing the Bougainville referendum on possible independence, set tentatively for June net year.

A meeting at the end of last month left a number of issues unresolved but Tim Masiu, who is also the deputy leader for the opposition, told Don Wiseman he believes they will be sorted at the next meeting.
