Indigenous knowledge must be prioritised in climate response

A major report on climate change released overnight says Māori and Pacific knowledge and practices are critical in responding to climate change.

The authors of the report say there's still a brief window of time to avoid the worst outcomes for the planet.

University of Canterbury political sociologist Professor Steven Ratuva told Māni Dunlop the NZ Government was not doing enough to elevate Māori and Pacific voices.
