The all-star Los Angeles Rams are hosting the Cincinnati Bengals, 125-1 outsiders at the start of the season, at their magnificent new SoFi stadium for the NFL season finale, Super Bowl 56. Jamie Wall has all the action in a live blog.
It is the game that the US stops for - traditionally the most-watched programme of the year.
Nobody fancied the Bengals, with just six wins in two previous seasons combined, to make it this far.
They hadn't won a playoff game since 1991. Now they have won three straight and if they can pull off a win, it would be a fairytale ending for a team that has never won the Super Bowl.
By contrast, since the Rams moved back to LA from St Louis in 2016 they have followed an ambitious plan of blockbuster trades to bring in established star players in vital positions.
While they've made the final four times they have won only one - in 2000.
The match starts at 12.30pm NZ time and usually lasts about three and a half hours.
