Fiji authorities have reported a first case of Zika in the country.

The health minister, Jone Usamate, has told the Fiji Sun that a woman in the Western Division has been treated.

In Wallis and Futuna, authorities have warned that the mosquito that can carry the Zika virus is present but no case has been recorded.

Last week, New Caledonia registered a first case of Zika in the latest outbreak of the disease.

Zika had earlier been reported in Samoa, Tonga and the Marshall Islands.
