Only three victims of the Whakaari/White Island volcano remain in hospital in New Zealand.

The Ministry of Health said all three were in Middlemore Hospital and one of them was still in a critical condition.
Twenty-one people died in or after the 9 December eruption.
Thirteen injured patients were later transferred to Australia and another six to their home countries.
