The new Blues coach Sir John Kirwan starts his job today and he says he's excited about the opportunity.
Kirwan, who previously has coached Italy and Japan, takes over from Pat Lam, who wasn't reappointed after 4 years in the job.
Kirwan says the Blues have the biggest catchment area and there are a lot of very good young players coming through.
He says he sees the key to success as selection and hard work and won't put a time frame on how long it will take to turn the franchise around.
He is yet to reveal who his assistants will be.
