Police have confirmed that a baby has died in a single-car crash in Ahipara in the Far North this afternoon.
Two other people have suffered serious injuries.
Police were alerted to the crash on the Kaitaia-Awaroa Road shortly after 1pm.
Police have cordoned off the road and the Serious Crash Unit has been advised.
